Although I never coughed up a tenner, I used to enjoy it a few years ago.

However, like many others, I suspect, I got fed up of the hounding out of anybody with a contrary view to the regulars clique.

Bit sad to see it go, but not really surprised.

Maybe this place will see an increase in traffic, it could certainly use it.

A lot of people didn't bother when the paywall went up, some others got banned, and many more just drifted off.

On top of that, the supposed improvement to the board actually made it worse, and apparently match threads became impossible, due to the slowness, which reminded me of the dial up days of the internet.

Maybe so, but a lot depends on the subjects covered, and if Welsh rugby is the main subject, given it's current state, you're up shit creek.

I've struggled to be enthusiastic, particularly regarding regional rugby, for some time, but was amazed by how many people felt the same way, on a recent gwlad thread.

It's pretty hard to get excited b that dross. I'm hoping this season is better overall, to be fair it couldn't be much worse. Apart from Newport that is, I'm expecting another dire year.

As it goes I'm looking forward to the new season. Looking forward to bath and bristol in Europe and the regional derbies except judgement day.

It's not surprising that were not particularly excited to see our teams battle it out for 6th and the right to get absolutely bummed in the group stages of the champions cup, but until we can compete with Irish and Scottish spending that is the best we can hope for.

Pretty much all of the regular posters who once posted on gwlad are now posting for free on nugwlad.

This place is dead because A) there are not enough active members and B) Dickhead mods are banning the (admittedly mental) ones who create content.

Any chance of recruiting some quality for this joint?

For the avoidance of doubt, the linking of other sites on this board hasn't been tolerated from day one. Other posters have received bans as a result of doing so, I merely altered Stoo's post and made no further action.

However, if he wants to act like a child, then I'll not bother giving him the benefit of any doubt.
