2018 Wish List

Post by rowan »

Tri Nations Someone other than New Zealand to win, Argentina to win game

6 Nations Italy to win a game, not fussed who wins but is a resurgent France hoping for too much?

Americas Championship Brazil to keep upsetting the North Americans!

ENC Russia to KO either Georgia or Romania. Turkey to return to competition

RWC qualifying Someone other than Namibia to win the African group, Uruguay to send Canada to the repechage tourny where they belong

World Rugby Fiji to (belatedly) follow Georgia & Romania onto the Central Committee. Algeria to gain affiliation

Super Rugby Aside from a Canes championship, an improved effort from the Aussies & Saffas in general

Indo-Pacific Rugby Championship That Andrew Forrest gets this off the ground, and that Fiji are involved

Mitre 10 Cup Wellington to win it in their first season back in the top divison

7s Fijians, Kenyans and the US to get back to top form. Uganda & Russia to keep improving.
If they're good enough to play at World Cups, why not in between?

Hope the Jags make the playoffs too. Forgot about them.

By the way, it's a wish list because I don't actually expect much of it to happen. NZ will likely win the RC again, England or Ireland the 6N, Argentina the ARC, Georgia or Romania the ENC, Namibia the African RWC qualifying group, & Canterbury will likely win either the Super 15 or Mitre 10 Cup again - quite possibly both. It may not pan out that way, of course, but a betting man wouldn't put too much on anything different.
