Having said that, I haven’t seen the video - I’ve no inclination to see someone getting a kicking - but I am affrayed you could be right.
On a serious note, at what point does he revert back to being a Kiwi?

No we’ve found the one sober Kiwi can we disown Stokes? Only temporarily, he’s English as soon as he’s available for selection.canta_brian wrote:Thank you. I wouldn't worry too much, most non English refer to your cricket team as "rest of world" anyway.Mellsblue wrote:No we’ve found the one sober Kiwi can we disown Stokes? Seems unfair. England is touring NZ in Feb/April. NZ in pretty good form at the moment, fancy our chances for the tour.

Stokes cleared to play for England. Struggling to see the logic behind the decision - why is it ok now that he has formally been charged but wasn’t beforehand.

Seems a bit odd. Unless the ECB have heard from Police/CPS that there wont be any action in the near future. The wheels of justice can turn very slowly. Its taken 4 months for a charge to be brought after all.
I wonder if their legal advice is that its unlikely he will serve a custodial sentence, even if he is proved guilty.

another good win. Woakes looks a different player in ODI's.

He does. we were good again today. a couple of wobbles with the bat, but this side really does have depth in the order that can absorb losing wickets.

I'd again like to thank the Aussies for not picking their best spinner

I really do think Hales and Buttler should be contending for the test squad, they can take games away from the oppo very quickly, and Bairstow could easily be a place or two higher as a test batsman without having to keep wicket.

Watching Gasquet Vs Federer in the tennis, English commentator (Andrew Castle?) just got completely dissed by Jimmy Connors about the ashes series.
Yup, English cricket got pwned* by an American!

My dad is off to Oz in a couple of weeks. He is expecting a mauling about the cricket. He’s desperately hoping the one day results keep on as they are and has asked for specifics about our four match winning in the rugby. I doubt either will bring him much relief.Which Tyler wrote:Watching Gasquet Vs Federer in the tennis, English commentator (Andrew Castle?) just got completely dissed by Jimmy Connors about the ashes series.

That's a very impressive win with Plunkett bowling less than 2 overs, a horrible job to get all those overs out of Rashid, Root and Ali so well done Morgan. I would again add my thanks to the Aussies for not picking their best spinner

Slick work again under Morgan's stewardship...begs the question again re. apparent chasm between the 2 strands. It seems more approach/resolve than ability.

Yes it was, though the bowling impresses me more today given the injury issues, also out total wasn't that good it was more an superb recovery given the mess the top 6 got into. Aussie batsman look to play far too much in front of square, all the power shots they've got sorted, but they lack an ability to work the ball behind square or at least an intent to do so which made field placings a little easier for EnglandBanquo wrote:and Buttler for a truly top inningsDigby wrote:That's a very impressive win with Plunkett bowling less than 2 overs, a horrible job to get all those overs out of Rashid, Root and Ali so well done Morgan. well, without a brilliant recovery from Buttler and Woakes, the bowlers would have been irrelevant, but it was a great effort all round.Digby wrote:Yes it was, though the bowling impresses me more today given the injury issues, also out total wasn't that good it was more an superb recovery given the mess the top 6 got into.
