I swear Barnsey could make England losing by 60 into a positive for England "Gareth Davis probably did England a favour there, we know England are great when on top but blah blah blah"

Hes been cheerleading all game its boiling my piss already

We are beginning to look dangerous with ball in hand. Just little mistakes are causing us problems.

Another mistake and a simple try for England.

Stand by for half time bollocking from Garland, it’s deserved.

First half summary, England looking strong in the tight and are well up for the game. Wales are making life easier for them with some terrible mistakes.

21-7 at half time.

We seem to have done that thing where we spend 4 weeks doing fitness and don’t touch a rugby ball. Some of our players look a bit confused by what they are supposed to do with it.

Second half is more of the same. Too many silly mistakes making the game easier for England.

North scores unconverted try after a period of competent play.

More competent play and a try for Wyn Jones after a series of pick and goes.

24-19.

Our scrum has gone to rat shit. 2 penalties from England shoves in a row.

Well that’s our winning run over. Better second half but frankly the first half was awful and we went too far behind.

Some reasonable performances:

JD2 and Liam always looked good.
Parked was OK. North had some good interventions.

Our pack was very second best throughout.

Lots of work to do before next week, hopefully involving more work with the ball as frankly we looked very rusty.

Not sure what’s worse, losing like this or listening to Barnes blather on.

No injuries?

Can't imagine either coach too happy with 24 and 30 missed tackles!

Pretty much what I expected of Wales after being in camp. We do very little ball work with 80% of the time probably geared to fitness work.
Hopefully that'll prove helpful come September but now clearly now they'll need to work more on their structures and game management.

Disappointing result (mainly because of the world no 1 thing, and the winning streak), we made a lot of chances that came to nothing (no doubt because of unfamiliarity with the rugby ball after weeks of Gatland training), and a couple of gifted tries to England. As usual we were really rusty in the first match. We will improve that, make less errors but hopefully continue with the aggressive attack. Hope Anscombe is okay....
Well done England, fair result, bring on the complacency :)

I was surprised at the errors Wales made, not surprised at ours though!

I’m not as surprised as I should be. Wales have this habit of spending lots of time on fitness in their training camps and very little playing any actual rugby. We looked very rusty today and I don’t expect us to be that bad again.

But it was still a poor performance and fair play to England for taking their chances.

The Swiss camp was Strength and Conditioning, they are due another camp in Turkey to work on Skills after the next England game, that will obviously include the set piece's where we looked rusty at times, I was expecting us to be more physical than we were and the defence was poor at times which wasn't a good sign, I was pleased with how they came back in the second half, previous Welsh teams have capitulated at Twickenham in the face of a heavy defeat.

I thought North looked sharp, also JD, in fact the backs were at least as good as their counterparts in all areas, the forwards lost us the game clearly. I don't think I saw us win a jackal turnover until close to the end of the game (by Elliot Dee) and that was when England had an advantage for a penalty so it didn't effect anything in reality. The scrum dominance of England was a big bonus for them and was what led to them being able to close out the game.

Biggar looked a bit rusty when he came on, I hope Anscombe is ok he looked dangerous before the injury.

Also Gatland said Tipuric was taken off due to injury, so I hope he recovers ok.

Aye-I just didn't expect Wales to be quite so undercooked. As Numbers says, the backs still looked a bit sharper all round than ours- more speed of thought tbh.....and that's my worry about us, we switch off, maybe fatigue.

Big loss - he was looking very good, making a big difference in attack.

I guess it'll give Patchell a chance to show what he can do (if only from the bench).

With the way Biggar played when he came on Patchell could end up starting, it depends if Gatland wants to continue with a more attacking option from the start, I suspect he'll just revert to Biggar which cuts down our attacking options (up and unders excepted).
