Eight Nations Championship

So, if we can get past France again, it looks to me like we stand a decent chance of making it to the final...

Lockdown still hasn’t affected my optimism!

Come on, lads. Get the 8 nations’ trophy next to the 5 nations trophy!

I wouldn't be drawn into predicting anything. The fitness, sharpness and even muscle mass of the players is going to be so inconsistent nation to nation.

That actually looks like a fun tournament structure. Pika makes a fair point on the English board re how sensible it is in terms of Covid but I can't be bothered getting into that now.

Pools seem a bit lopsided (in Scotland's favour) but I suppose England and Ireland will have just played Italy.

Didn't Japan put you away last time you played? Even without home advantage, I don't know I'd be skimming over them and looking forward to France.

They certainly did. Still, at home I'd be more confident against them than Ireland or Wales. I suppose Italy away is tougher than Fiji at home (assuming they will have the usual issues with limited prep time etc.)

It'd be disappointing (but not shocking) to fail to get two wins.

At least this fixture against the Nips won`t require jungle survival as part of the prep.

Seems we will have a "warm up" for Wales v Georgia at Murrayfield. Good to see them being invited over again.
