An England career is probably worth more money, so hard to think that's something dad would be opposed to

He's said multiple times he doesn't see himself as English, he very much considers himself Australian and even Italian over English.Mikey Brown wrote:Purely Dad or some other reason too?
With his brother in Aus also I just don't see him or his family really wanting him to be against him, I know his farther has been pretty open about wanting him to play for Australia
As Louis said it's a bridge that will be crossed when it happens.

Unless he's truly head and shoulders above everyone else, I can't see England putting in the effort to try and convince him.

And with a number just outside the squad that seems unlikely, he might very well not be in the top 10 or for some timeRaggs wrote:Unless he's truly head and shoulders above everyone else, I can't see England putting in the effort to try and convince him.

Lynagh is a good prospect, but he’d definitely be a touch on the slow side for an international wing. Is wing his specialist position?

Full-back, I believe. Certainly doesn't look slow to me.Timbo wrote:Lynagh is a good prospect, but he’d definitely be a touch on the slow side for an international wing. Is wing his specialist position?

I’ve seen him have a yard on someone a couple of times and be caught. He also made an intercept a few weeks back and got caught despite having a good lead on the closest defender.Puja wrote:Full-back, I believe. I wouldn’t have thought much of it, but I’ve also seen other Quins fans mention that he’s maybe a touch slow for a top wing.

Re: EPS Watch / Player Form Thread
There's some chat online that Edie can choose to add players to the 28/replace players. Is this actually true? I thought this was the squad for the whole shebang this time round (which does raise the question about how you reward form if squads are picked weeks in advance)?

He has brought in Mako and Sinckler from outside the original 28 already. I'm surprised Underhill hasn't followed suit. Very porous bubble that one.Peej wrote:There's some chat online that Edie can choose to add players to the 28/replace players. Is this actually true? Charlie Morgan on why Sam Simmonds should start at 12 for the Lions with Ewers at 6.

Can he only do injury replacements though?Puja wrote:He has brought in Mako and Sinckler from outside the original 28 already. I'm surprised Underhill hasn't followed suit. Ah no, scrap that, those were straight swaps weren't they?
The reason I ask is Planet Rugby have thrown a suggested team into the mix. It's utterly deluded in parts, and completely divorced from reality and how Eddie thinks, but there are some interesting points in it https://www.planetrugby.com/the-team-en ... ns-run-in/

BIlly sucks in 3 defenders...
HE also sucks in 4 bloody England players, Sinckler, Wilson, Itoje and himself. So we're at a net loss, not gain, ffs!

I think we should have a separate lions board for this stuff. This thread should be about england.

I mean it's really just more discussion of Billy vs Simmonds. Mentioning the Lions is just good for clicks I think. We all know the this 'tour' is a farce.
Aside from that a Lions board would be good. Not least for having a joint area with the Welsh and Scottish to share my hatred of Peter O'Mahoney.

Billy V, Curry, Underhill, Earl, Navidi, Tipuric, Faletau, Watson, Stander etc etc are all top level proven international performers. I don't get why people are so positive that Gatland is going to ignore these players in favour of someone who is not a proven international. Dirt tracker perhaps, but even then, why would you?

I'm not sure anyone actually is convinced. Except maybe Dallaglio, which says it all.
It would be ridiculous if Earl goes ahead of Ritchie though.

Sure, no worries, add Ritchie to the list, was thinking Beirne (sp?) could easily have a shot at playing 6 too.Mikey Brown wrote:I'm not sure anyone actually is convinced. Except maybe Dallaglio, which says it all.

Bedford have signed a Wasps tight head as injury cover for x number of weeks. Any ideas who it might be?
