I did fear for him when I read there were ‘life changing injuries’ but losing a leg above the knee is an awful outcome.

Horrific. For life-changing injuries, it's better than brain or spinal damage, but grim nonetheless.

Not good for him or his family. I hope he has something to fall back on now his rugby career is over.
