This makes me incredibly sad. A brilliant player and inspiration. His name will live forever in a fight against this pig of a disease.
I will remember him with a smile on my face and every time I hear the phrase "mistaken identity".

Gutted.
It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Hard to know what to say. It's shit. Just amazing the way he responded to it all.

Amazing player and it was an act of cruel thuggery that preventing him from starring in the Lions test matches in my opinion. Massive character and the way he handled his diagnosis is beyond words. I'm not sure I would be that positive and be able to do so much good.
A real warrior right to the end.
RIP Doddie, you've gone too soon but thanks for the memories.
