Charlie is pretty good tbf. The others are outside back iirc
Spot on. Charlie has come on loads over the last year apparently. Should get some decent opportunities with Sarries this year.

He was alright at Ampthill, no more than that tho tbh, but young and in a 'variable' team.

As usual, many players can play more than one position at this age, so pinch of salt. And there were three players* that I simply don't know enough about.

Also worth noting there are a decent amount of lads missing through injury.

Three Tigers backs and only one forward. That's a stark turnaround from recent seasons where it's been mainly forwards.

Other than Linegar who's getting the EP ones to watch treatment?

There's a few missing with injury who would be high on the list, like Tom Davis (Hooker - Sale), Patrick Hogg (Lock - Newcastle) and Fraser Rawlins (Centre - Saracens) who all (should) have a very bright future.

From the first group, absolutely Jonno Balding. Can play 6 or lock, proper talent. Bit George Martin-esque. I do like Kealan Freeman-Price too. Another 6 come lock. George Newman the Exeter scrum half is decent. Fin Keylock is a very good inside back. Can play 10 or 12. I think 12 is arguably his better position. Pick of the backs though in that group is Sam Winters. He's just class! Really special!

In the second group, both Sarries locks look good (shock horror!); Mears (Bath) and Asa Stewart-Harris (Saracens) are strong. Stewart-Harris converted from back three, but has a good core skill-set despite the fairly recent move. Linegar is obvious. Felix Champain is an absolute standout. He's a classy centre. A bit of a Will Greenwood with pace :D :D Noah Calouri is raw, but very talented.

Thoughts on Bland? I’m having a few beers with his dad and uncle on Saturday.

Looks decent mate. Been around the England setup since lower 6th. Definitely a dynamic prop, but has a good technique. He and Spencer are a good pair for Yorkshire. Just depends where they go post that. Being Yorks there is always a worry as to what happens post school. Alfie Longstaff (last years standout) joined Sale, likewise Bland is going to have to move to somewhere different to continue the journey. There's some good pros in the big squad, and tighthead is very competitive. He's got a chance to make the position his, but it's going to be a dogfight for that shirt.

He was backrow until sixth form so definitely mobile.
Home for him is pretty much dead center between Carrington and Bishop Burton so that would seem a logical destination, geographically speaking.
His dad has played at Goldington Road for Otley so I’m hoping the finishing school magic is strong enough to cross generations!

He's not looked out of place at prop and was starting for school and Yorkshire in lower 6th, which is even more impressive than usual considering the move.

Is Mears at Bath any relation to Lee Mears?

Believe so. He does have a son called Isaac who was born in 2007 and lives in the area still.
