Worst loanee I’ve ever seen at GR. I’m not sure how he’s still a Prem player other than he’s meant to be a top squad player, great trainer and a good bloke, but you’d think that would only get you so far.
Sam Edwards who is now no3 at brizz way better
At passing and kicking most definitely, though he seems to be 4th choice at Bristol like he was at Tigers which is a shame.

Whiteley has some pluses which are mainly around his tenacity and willingness to fly out the line and put his body on the line. Not the idea USP for a scrum half. His passing game was poor today. When Ben Youngs comes on and improves the passing from the base dramatically it's not a good sign.

surprised he is behind wolstenholme.

Why one would choose those pluses over 9 fundamentals puzzles me.

Tell me about it. McKellar seemed to love Whiteley for some reason. Ollie Allan should get a go during the PRC and hopefully move up the pecking order. Ben Youngs seems firmly set as the finisher from the bench.

The PRC period should be interesting, most Tigers fans are hoping Whitcombe overtakes Cronin during that period as well. Given Cronin is normally good for giving away penalties that lead to opposition points it's about time he was phased out.
