England's composure has disintegrated after that. Really annoying in such an exciting game. Ireland in their groove now.

That gap. Ffs. Both left the decision to each other. Poor from CCS, appalling from Keef. We’re appalling again.

You wait, you wait, you wait...
Then why pick it up and try to go anywhere at all?

FFS Murley is a liability at the back.

Murley is a defensive disaster. The 6:2 bench needs a re-think.

I’m sure everyone will say it’s sour grapes but it’s literally impossible to win in Dublin when the ref has decided at half time to give them every single decision. Phantom pushes, made up forward passes, wrong scrum pens, ignores head contact at tackles, threatens players who start fights but clearly only means if it’s us.
This guy should have been struck off the ref list when he wilfully ignored Tom Curry’s head injury in the Oz game.

Murley’s head went 10/15/20 mins ago. He should’ve bee hooked but a 6:2 bench and/or the spreadsheet meant it didn’t/couldn’t happen.

Different match, same old capitulation.

Really feels like Keef has been bought here. He’s been truly appalling

We desperately need Quirke or JVP to make the jump to test match standard.

Well, that try was all Slade. If he misses that tackle he had to get back, if he’d sprinted, he’d have made it, he just jogged.
He’d been good today, I thought, too. But that was awful

Borthwick has decided to chase the game and the decision is to keep the free scoring winger on. You don't expect an experienced to keep soiling the bed for routine moments.
Now Freeman has a go at missing a routine tackle out wide.

Was it just me seeing a forward pass in the build up to the last Ireland try? It's behind the cut of the grass.. then passed long and is then in front of it, the hands even go forwards imo.
Murley's not had a great game defensively. Did well for England's late try though.

I get it, when the ref is so one-eyed as Keef has been today, it's really, really hard to pick yourself up.
But you need to.
We've simply capitulated. As we consistently have under SB. It's just not good enough.
And yes, two headline poor mistakes from Murley, but where is there anyone walking hi through? He's scored and assisted. But where's the support for a young player making his debut?
It's a system problem. Because it's all over the pitch that we're making poor individual mistakes. Mitchell, Smith, Steward, Slade... And I don't think it's their fault. And when we do get the ball...it's like we play rugby for 20 minutes and then decide "that's enough of that" and just kick it away from then on. And it's not just today, it's through the entirety of SBs reign.

It was forward. Keef gave Ireland 12 points today...this performance from him SHOULD get an interrogation, as it was beyond the pale. I was expecting poor because it is Keef, but this has been past that.Insouciant wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 6:38 pm Was it just me seeing a forward pass in the build up to the last Ireland try? In terms of overall strategy over 80 minutes was that a management shambles? I think that was not much above 80% possible. SB is gone for me.
