Stupid pointless gambleFKAS wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 5:19 pmBig loss Chessum, his work at the lineout and defence had been excellent early doors. Hurt his shoulder hitting the ball in a tackle where he was leading the lock chase. Not sure CCS can replicate. Borthwick gambled and it's not paid off.Which Tyler wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 5:11 pm Sorry for Ollie, but Borthwick fully deserves an early lock injury
We've also got to tighten up. A loose game suits Wales it doesn't suit us.

Alex Coles has had an injury and the other locks don't offer much if anything. I'd have gone with a lock but I understand why he took the risk.Banquo wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 5:21 pmStupid pointless gambleFKAS wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 5:19 pmBig loss Chessum, his work at the lineout and defence had been excellent early doors. Probably better to concede the try rather than the yellow card or possible review of the rolling maul collapse and a penalty try.

There’s one for Genge’s tally on the mbm.

Fin Smith is pulling the strings today. Roebuck has been excellent on the wing. I do like the balance of the midfield so far.

Actually looking reasonable with the interplay, on the same wavelength.
7 - 28 after 39.

MaybeFKAS wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 5:33 pmAs I said, given the choice I'd have taken a lock on the bench. CCS has done alright so far, maybe Borthwick knows more than we do about lock play![]()
But it was called out as an error beforehand and remains so tbh. CCS will be dying by the end.

Stuart joins the party, Smith miss.
7 - 33 with BP secure.
( Sco. need to park the ' Auld Alliance' , and do the job later .

Re: Team for Wales
Yeah I'd not like to be CCS tomorrow morning, he's going to wake up feeling like his back is in bits. He did play some lock at age grade and his LI debut was at lock. Not that I want to keep defending a decision I wasn't particularly keen on in the first place.Banquo wrote: ↑Sat Mar 15, 2025 5:37 pmMaybe.

I'm finding this terribly hard to judge. It just feels like playing Italy a decade ago...Wales are just truly appalling.
