That's quite a 'spread' of choice. Couldn't get more dissimilar tbh. A good thing I guess.
I suspect it means that no one has a clue what's going on
Including the Tigers board
Considering they allowed Pollard and Chieka to leave it so late before making a decision you might not be wrong.

That's way too logical and approach to catch on.

Seriously I hope it works for them. Good logical program to run.

Just saw that Bristol posted some stats on academy catchment areas in relation to this:

https://www.bristolbearsrugby.com/news/ ... ce-centre/

Explains the lack of players coming through at Bristol to some extent.

Good initiative from Bristol. They are seriously disadvantaged by the way the academies have been set up.

Only on a deal until the end of the 2025 season. It could be a brief fling and back home to rugby union fairly quickly if he doesn't take to it.

If it's that short-term I struggle to see it sticking.

Go over, score a few tries and win some silverware. Be back in union looking to break Ashton's record by Christmas at the latest.

Frankly I hope Ashton's record stays in place. Fed up with Wade swanning off like he's too good for rugby.

Or it’s a short career and good on him for making the most of it and challenging himself.

Well, sure, fine - if you want to take the compassionate, humane, and reasonable view of things, I suppose you can do that!

I guess I'm sensitive about the threat of NFL poaching top players and how small-time it makes the sport that I love feel. I didn't want him or LRZ to go or to succeed, cause I'm concerned there will be a success story that makes the scouts and the offers come out in force and asset strip the game, so I'm carrying over my annoyance at him from that. You are right though - short career and not fair to be petty at someone who wants to challenge himself.

Rumoured to be end of the season, he's dropping the details on the pod today to maximise that sweet, sweet cash.

He's got various side gigs currently. He's doing hospitality bits at Twickers, he's helping oversee the sporting programs at his old school on Holt, Norfolk.

Thought the French rumour was Toulouse to be an experienced head until Dupont gets back. Felt somewhat unlikely mind.

I’ve heard no rumours down here. Saint Antoine probably won’t be fit until the Autumn so Toulouse are probably already looking for a temporary scrum half.

I honestly thought he’d basically said as much on the podcast last week, but maybe I wasn’t properly paying attention.

Maybe Stade, there was definitely something about “I’ll be able to get you Paris tickets, read in to that what you will…”

So maybe some other corporate gig where that would be on the cards.

Just said "my final season" via the offical Tigers twitter, no hints about a transfer anywhere.

Newcastle confirming they have appointed lawyers to pursue the compensation cases pending with the RFU over the players they lost last season. Bath and Sarries haven't stumped up the compensation and Glaws are also apparently looking to use the same procedure to kick the can down the road. As expected Steve Diamond is less than amused.

I would imagine clubs are looking at invoices from Falcons and thinking they may as well wait and see if it ever even needs to get paid. Evil, but monetarily efficient.

All they're doing is accruing interest, any decent administrator/liquidator won't back down if the worst comes to pass
