Fuxache. 1.45AM is a hell of a time for a footy match.

Young master Mwenda had the chance to pass on some tips to the Black Ferns in their build up. We'll see if they took it on board.

I was thinking it would have been nice if they'd put some of the Kiwi pool games on a Saturday (UK time). At least then people can have a leisurely Sunday morning watching it on catchup.
First world problems.

I think it was down to the schedule being worked out years in advance, with teams slotted in once seeded. And then no-one thinking that way.
I absolutely agree it would be a nice thing to do.
Give them the last slot on the Saturday, maybe even a later-but-standard KO time like 7.45pm
Of course, then the same consideration should be given to Fiji and Samoa, Japan and Aus top, to a lesser degree

Yeah, can never get it perfect, though I think Samoa and Australia have played all their games on Saturday's and the time difference for Japan is not as extreme. Maybe a case for switching the pools between Saturdays and Sundays. Anyway, no biggie.Which Tyler wrote: ↑Sun Sep 07, 2025 9:57 amI think it was down to the schedule being worked out years in advance, with teams slotted in once seeded. Sounds like a comfortable win against a team they have struggled against. Looking forward to next week.

Final score felt a bit unfair in the end. NZ comfortably better the late 14 points conceded seemed a bit much.
