TMO seems MIA early doors. Australia very lucky not to concede a penalty try.

England need to get some additional support on Freeman's shoulder. He's hitting nice lines off of a runner but there's no one there once he does. Been turned over twice now.

Pollock on the wing seems the obvious solution.

I'd agree but our wingers have been outstanding so far. Ford and Mitchell are controlling the game wonderfully.

Of course he would, he's a professional coach.
Literally every professional cheats just as much as they thnitthey can get away with. Claiming that "he wouldn't do such a thing" is as convincing as it was when we were told that Mealami ""wouldn't do that sort of thing" to BOD - desite everyone seeing it clearly and obviously.
I think that's what's called "gaslighting"

Good lord we've missed Underhill. I hate it when people say he's one dimensional.

That dimension makes other dimensions invert themselves very fucking hard and fast.

 he hits people very hard. If you get the backrow balance right he's a real asset. How we've setup today he's perfect.

Wilson showing his flyhalf how to kick the ball with that beauty of a touch finder.

Well England have left some points out there in the first half.

Some good, some bad. We are not ruthless enough. Early changes will be interesting.

Our tactic of not giving it to whoever is wide when they’ve got space is erm….interesting!

Yeah. Freeman the winger would be very upset with Freeman the OC. Steward no better.

Got to say I think Austin is over selling that a bit, particularly when it was Pepper on the outside, there was three defenders coming across so he was going into touch. No chance he's making the line. The smart move was to take the metres on the inside back to where the support is.

Time for the replacement props to give England an inject of fresh physicality. Could particularly do with Genge on for his carrying ability.

And again poor in attack. Never held the defence at all.

We’re being exposed defensively out wide, especially on our right.

We're looking better now the fresh legs are doing the damage in the tight but Jorgensen has pace to burn and in any space he's dangerous.

Attack looks clunky, Blackett has some work to do.

For me, it's mostly showing promise, but to quite finishing off

A little bit of that but there's also a couple of occasions where players just look a bit hesitant like they aren't sure where their options are. Very much a teething issue that should sort itself out with some more game time in the system, ideally with consistency in selection.

Got to say the game plan today has been spot on. 25-7 and could have easily been more, you can't see where the Wallabies have left points out there.

Poor from Pollock, two needless offsides where he was miles off on both occasions.

Enjoyed that. Fairly comfortable throughout which is pretty good for a first hit out. A good place to build from.

Comfortable win despite not being as sharp in attack as we hoped.

Defensively we were excellent, we adapted well tactically while the bench made a big impact.

First game of the autumn, so theres a lot more to come.

I thought Aus found the outside defence under resourced a number of times, but their execution wasn’t good enough. Certainly in our right side where we pushed Mitchell out and he was under supported (hung out to dry) a number of times! With better hands Aus would have caused more problems.

The team that finished the game was a step up from the team that started - no surprise really. Pepper was excellent throughout - a proper 6 that adds a lineout option. He was MoM by a distance, IMO.
