Sale exceptional despite missing so many.

Bamber very very good. Quirke excellent and has finished the match looking excellent in the back 3.

Only sour note is Ben Curry going off with hamstring trouble. Hopefully not serious.

People keep telling me the French league is great but having seen Clermont, La Rochelle and Pau, I’m having to think it’s just a 2 team league. Let’s see what Toulon bring tomorrow.

Really good result for Sale who have been a bit hit and miss this season.

Those highlights don’t show the break that Quirke made from his own 22 in the lead up to the final try. He was in the back 3 at the time- not quite sure if at full back or 14 and it was electric. He’s so quick- right up there with the Radwan’s and Arundells.

So much potential to be a 9/wing hybrid like the saffas. Had a decent game with his fundamentals bar one major mistake for the intercept.
