Not a bad weekend
Wins for the Ospreys and Cardiff yesterday, but the Dragons get the plaudits. I hope this is a corner turner.

And there I was expecting another close run defeat. At last!UKHamlet wrote: โSun Dec 14, 2025 8:14 pm Wins for the Ospreys and Cardiff yesterday, but the Dragons get the plaudits. I hope this is a corner turner.

Letโs hope itโs a springboard. Equally cracking wins for the Ospreys and Cardiff. Scarlets were alw@ys going to be up against it.

Re: Not a bad weekend
Three wins, and an away defeat by the champions; not too shabby, is it?
Cardiff back from 12-26, Dragons back from 6-21, after Os came back from 0-21 last week. As Os showed this time; if we can get our comebacks in first, we're hard to beat!

Nice to get a few wins, particularly for the Dragons. All in the Challenge Cup but we'll take them.
Have to say I did not expect Sheedy to make those last kicks. The ball went straight?! He has been practicing! Great news because if he can keep this up he becomes a serious option for the Wales 10 shirt.
The Ospreys never quite ran away with it but it was always a comfortable win - nice to watch a match where we had an 11 point lead for most of it. Nagy is really looking good, hope Tandy is watching.
For the Scarlets, Eddie James played (and carried) well at 12.

Sheedy was very complimentary of Halfpenny since his return, especially how he "sees" what's wrong with a kick. So it sounds like he's been working with 1/2p- as you'd hope he would.Son of Mathonwy wrote: โMon Dec 15, 2025 9:43 am Nice to get a few wins, particularly for the Dragons. Ospreys looked good, and I thought the yellow card and the disallowed try for pushing the opposing player were both harsh. Looked minimal contact to me in both cases.
Nagy did look good, and if he does have an inclination to play the Wales, then Wales should be speaking to him in case he joins Jac & Lake in leaving the O's.

Re: Not a bad weekend
The weird thing about the Cardiff game is we were easily the better side in the first half, but went back to the sheds two points down. My gut feeling it was going to be one of those days where an Irish side got a win through sheer grit. Nothing in the second half made me think otherwise, until about the hour mark, when suddenly, we looked like winners again, despite Ulster having the upper hand.
