Good. Lots of composure and some nice touches. Admittedly he has been working behind a pack that has provided him with decent ball, but I’d like to see him against better opposition.

I’m going as far to suggest that he should start against England, along with Jonny Williams and Tompkins, with Liam at full back and LRZ on one wing with Adams on another.

I think I’d stick with Lloyd Williams at scrum half with Hardy or Gareth Davies on the bench.

There will be some big calls up front as well given that I think that’s the strongest front row we have at the moment (that which started tonight) and Ball deserves to start. Seb Davies or AWJ???

Nice to get a win at last. A decent performance given the conditions and changes to the line up, but it’s a step up against England to say the least.

Hopefully Pivac is now convinced of the merits of props who can scrummage. Wyn Jones has to start next week, and I’d pick Samson Lee, but would also be happy with Francis.

If JD2 is fit then I suspect he will start but if not then I’d pick Tomkins.

Back row is intriguing. Some new flankers have done alright, but next week is a massive step up. I’d pick Wainwirght at blindside and Faletau at number 8. If Navidi is fit then he has to start, potentially at open side asi suspect Tips might not be available. If Tips can plan the Navidi to blindside.

The biggest call o suspect will be at fly half. I’d start Sheedy and at best have Biggar on the bench. We will be up against it next Saturday and when we get possession we need to show some threat.

Nice get a win and avoid the possibility of Pivac suffering some kind of record-breaking run of losses during the 6N.

Line out was okay, not great. The scrum was dominant, which was great to see. In the breakdown we did okay but not well enough to set our backs free. We saw very little fireworks from the backs. Most players looked competent and not much more. LRZ did have one nice big run and was perhaps the best of the backs.

18-0. Nice to nil them, but for context: Scotland got 48-7 and England 40-0 against them. So not great really.

I'm not sure what Pivac's plan is supposed to look like in ideal conditions (unless it's what the Scarlets looked like a few years back), but if we can't get it together against Georgia, if we can't run in a few more tries, what chance against a good team? No chance against England.

What does this mean for the England game? Same front row as today, clearly. Ball and AWJ. Have we lost Tips? Jesus, hope we don't have to play Cubby. None of our scrum halves have claimed the shirt (pick one at random). Sheedy looked competent but not obviously better than Biggar (I'd still go for Patchell if fit). Centres, no one is nailed on. Tompkins and JD2? But I've no strong opinion. Adams and LRZ. Liam at full back (although Sheedy might not be accurate enough, so we might need 1/2p somewhere)

Yes, the pain was in a class it its own. I had played through various injuries, the summit of stupidity being 75 minutes with a broken arm, but that was not as bad as the rib cartilages.
