Re: Scotland v ireland tickets
The SRU's stance on ticket touts is well known. For years, they have sought to stamp out this vile practice so that the real fans could get to the game.
However, now they have an official ticket tout secondary ticketing partner , the highly-reputable Viagogo. Perhaps you could try there? Despite there being plenty of time for the ticketholders to return the tickets and get a refund so that people on a waiting list can get them, there are plenty of tickets available on Viagogo. I've just checked and the cheapest for a couple together was around £85 each when I last looked. If that's not nearly enough for you to spend, there are several going for £500 and just below.
I don't know what the original price was or what the middle men are getting, but apparently ticket touts are no longer greedy scum and the SRU is right on board with them, as long as they presumably get a cut of the mark up somewhere along the line. Anyway, that's my reading of clause 4.3.1 of the ticket terms and conditions.

Haha. Just think Viagogo are a bunch of twats and it doesn't serve Scottish rugby well to align its brand with them.
