Wales v Tonga

Post by Lizard »

Now confirmed for 5.30pm (NZ time), Friday 16 June at Eden Park, as the curtain-raiser for All Blacks v Samoa.

I'm not sure who will be wearing their alternate strip.

Real shame this has to be played in New Zealand. Convenient for Lions replacements but not great for Tongan rugby.

It might prompt some investment to get Tongan facilities up to scratch.

I would also wager that there are more Tongans in Auckland than in Nuku'alofa.

Maybe. If it does give the Tongan union a kick in the arse then something positive will come out of it.

Suprised that James Davies hasn't been selected, tho there is a wealth of depth at 7.

Not seen any details yet. Might be on sky or highlights on free to air?

Welcome to the board by the way.

I'm not sure how it will be negotiated but I'm guessing whoever is showing the All Blacks v Samoa game will have Wales v Tonga, too? It would a bit odd to split rights on a double-header.
