I'd heard he died earlier, with no cause mentioned, but saw a clip of his last performance just now before seeing that it's been confirmed as suicide.

I don't know why I'm even posting this. I have nothing to say. It's just fucking sad.

There's something about the method that seems to make it that bit worse.

Yeah, it just came out of nowhere. It sounds like he was a high-functioning depressive, where it's pretty hard to detect.
