Worst player moves?
Wondering what would go down as the worst moves by a player for you.
So not necessarily the worst signings, just players that where showing promise and for one reason or another moved and there career went downhill instead of improving. Not including moves abroad.
Some examples for me.
Kieran Brookes ---> Tigers (Injures + Nandos + CBA = overweight prop who Tigers couldn't be arse to deal with)
Billy Twelvetrees ---> Gloucester (Honestly feel if he had waited and stayed at Tigers he would be England 12 currently, he was a play maker for Tigers instead at glous he became the ball carrier trouble is he doesn't suit the ball carrier role like say Manu did)
Micheal Paterson --> Northampton Saints (He has been solid for Saints but for Sale he was the go to tight 5 player and a standout for them, now he is a meh player behind Lawes and Ribbens by the looks of it next season, maybe not the worst move for a player but still didn't help his career currently).
Was tempted to put Benjamin up there as well but his was purely down to bad luck with injuries.

Has there been any word about how the new coaching regime has been getting on at glos? It would be great if this could be changed as I really like the club.

I've not heard anything, but there's plenty of tripe talked anyway so until the games start it's hard to know.twitchy wrote:Digby wrote: Anyone to Glaws.

Kvesic to glaws all day.
Possibly Burns to tigers. He needed to be Number one to advance his cause and he didn't quite fit what they wanted.

Baden Kerr to Sarries. He wasn't even good enough to play for Bedford when he had a stint at Goldington Rd.
Mathew Tait to Sale
I'll second the 'Anyone to Glaws' proposal. On that line of thought, anyone who signed Nils Mordt.
Eastmond to Wasps.

Not sure on that, got to remember that Burns had one of the worst seasons in prem history for Glous before moving to Tigers, he had a goal kicking percentage of 60%! that season.bitts wrote:Digby wrote:Campagnaro to Exeter

He wrecked his cause before even coming to Tigers, and end of the day i reckon he has improved alot as a player.

I'm going to prognosticate and say Marcus Watson to Wasps. He was a regular and a star at Newcastle, but I can't see him getting ahead of Wade and Bassett, with Daly potentially complicating the issue if he wants to play wing for Wasps to enhance his England claims.

I second that. I reckon he now has a great chance of breaking into the England squad if he can conjure up some early season form. If he'd have stayed at Glos...not sure about that. The move has done him the world of good.Tigersman wrote:Not sure on that, got to remember that Burns had one of the worst seasons in prem history for Glous before moving to Tigers, he had a goal kicking percentage of 60%! that season.bitts wrote:Digby wrote:Campagnaro to Exeter

James Johnstone to Sarries? From first choice to 3rd choice within half a season...

Kvesic to glaws? Had his best season ever after he arrived and was more or less player of the season two years running.
Ackerman hasn't joined yet, so it is likely to be an uncertain and slow start for glaws whilst feet are found

PDJ played well in some of those England games. Hardly a star player, but he did a job, and at test level that's not nothing.
