Forgotten, ignored and MIA team

Post by Matt Ha »

People who have been in or around the Scottish squad at one time or another but seem far from it now. Anybody else? ps Not sure what all of these guys are up to.

I don't think Kelly Brown is really making waves and doesn't start for Sarries that much but it does seem crazy he's 6th choice or further behind Barclay, Cowan, Wilson, Harley, Strauss

Jonny Beattie. Still at Castres but we'll out the Scotland team picture.

He's a strange one. I'm not sure we have had many players with such extremes. One day he looks like everything we need and then the next he is just a bit meh and lazy

I watched a bit of Castres at the weekend and was moaning to my brother about how lazy he is. He just seems to trot around.

He was a regular starter until better players started coming through. I don't think there is any shame in that but he really does need to be looking for a new club now.

The same thing will happen to Denton next season, wait and see. Faletau is in another class entirely.

Tam Heathcote. I thought he'd been doing quite well for Worcester but if he's still behind Rhubarb and Meatball then I'm assuming he's not really on Verns radar. In hindsight his move to Edinburgh was a terrible choice.

Edinburgh are probably the worst pro club you could go to as a fly half early-ish in your career.

Did anyone see the Worcester/Bath game? Looking at the line-up it was Heathcote v Hastings. Interested to hear if either looked good

I only saw the very quick highlights on ITV, which was basically just the trys. So it was impossible to see how either of them went. Extended highlights would have been nice.
