Feel sorry for toner, kleyn doesn't deserve it

Cooney should be there

Back row is pants but beirne may start there for qf provided we get that far!

I vaguely remember seeing Kleyn's name in the pro14 but not much else. Has he got some massive point of difference that saw him get in ahead of Toner? Pre-empting potential citing for Toner? Or is that too late already?

I'm sure Kleyn has dreamed of pulling on a green jersey at a World Cup since he were a lad...

14 Ladyboys. Looks like their thirds will have to win everything up to Christmas.

2 from the Wesht and 3 Billies - Pro14 could be swept up by the development provinces before we get booted out in the QF.

You're right I'm wrong again, total meh on team

Kleyn is more mobile and a bit more abrasive but he's still average, toner could hypothetically rescue our ailing line out

A pound to a pinch of you know what that Jeannie Kleyn's never ever shovelled an ounce of turf!

Tough on Kieron Marmion, the second best SH in Ireland who has generally played well when given the chance.
Kleyn is just a big lump of ballast, selected by the pound, and should not be there. No different from Quin Roux and no better than Ultan Dillane.

Really thought Marmion played his way into a shirt. Kleyn just meh .. hasn’t shown anything to put him above some more obvious Ireland choices in second row.

Schmidt has wanted Toner out for ages. He's only been selected in the past 12 months to bail out the lineout. Kleyn is a far superior player and he's not going to get into the 23. Rory should have been phased out as well.

I think Jordi is the unlucky one.

I am no great fan of Rory Best under some circumstances (Notably with ball in hand, toes on the touch and 5m from the opposition line), but with more tackles in his 28 minutes on Saturday than all of the Welsh combined, there’s no denying he still has it in him. Since the alternative would appear to be taking another South African along, I’m happy that Rory gets the big-stage swan song he deserves

Agree on Jordi being unlucky to miss the cut, but who of Tadhg, Conan, POM, Ruddock, CJ or JvdF would you have left behind to make room?

Agreed, but I am told that McGrath has put in such a shift at camp that he couldn’t be left out.

Yer a gobshyte. Kleyn is better by far than Roux and a good margin better than Ultan. Do ye watch any Pro14 r*gby over there or are ye just too busy smearing yerself in seal fat and Elk piss?

Ruddock probably. POM and Beirne cover 6. Stander and Conan cover 8. A back up at 7 is needed. Jordi is a better 7 than POM, Stander and Ruddock.

I'd probably have said Ruddock was unlucky then though.
