The galthie era
Great selection to start- gas has set his stall out to win the 2023 world cup and won't be relying on drafting in a few fijians
I'm going to have a heavy bet at 12/1 to win the world cup (on France)
Nasty injury to the impressive ertillard v scatlets unfortunately

Those odds will shorten significantly when France win this season's 6 nations!paddy no 11 wrote:Great selection to start- gas has set his stall out to win the 2023 world cup and won't be relying on drafting in a few fijians

Not an inch of expérience in that sélection. But bold, and if things go well for a change, they have the making of a top three team.
Whatever happens in the six nations they ll be a better team with the expérience.

Re: The galthie era
Leroux is the only one bringing some real experience in the locks, with Tao eventually..
But it's strange that Ituria is not in the mix, he must have done something wrong during the WC...
For the game coming I'm quite excited, I thougt we'd have no chance against an experimented and very good english side, but when I'm looking at our players I can't help to think something great is coming... maybe not the first game but ...who knows ? If they gel and get parity up front, our backline can go through walls..

Need power up front Tao should start.
Le roux is not French not an international 2nd row or an international backrow

Leroux has got the french nationality and the can bring some bulk and grinta to this very young team.

Not so big really, as his replacement will be Julien Marchand, who in my opinion is a future captain of France.tigran wrote:Big blow, chat is out..

Yeah, he’s been on top form but you’ll find Marchand a different player. Chat is a strong physical player but Marchand is quick and very effective in the loose and has good hands. Chat would probably have been the starting 2 but Marchand will make his mark.paddy no 11 wrote:Definitely a loss, guy is at the top of his gamefrancoisfou wrote:Not so big really, as his replacement will be Julien Marchand, who in my opinion is a future captain of France.tigran wrote:Big blow, chat is out..

Know nothing of the 2 2nd rows if these 2 are brick shithouses who wont be rolled over then it will be reasonably competitive
there's still a decent french team there

I hope Bourgarit converts on the international stage the form he had shown some years ago.

Pesenti, Geraci, Jelonch, Woki, Viliere, Dulin, Bourgarit, all deserve to be tested in the french first... Shame Macalou didn't get enough balls..
