I was today years old when I found out about this.
In 1932, Australian military waged war against the Emus (not an acronym, the actual birds... that can't fly).
And lost.
Now that I do know, I need to share this knowledge with as many people as I can.

That is fascinating. They could have of course consulted a culture with 60 000 years of experience with emus and such…
