Stuttering to defeat - actually nudged in front now, but Buttler and Stokes gone too. Pretty meek.
Woakes is useful but ..

Let's see whether we can avoid losing by an innings first. It's still well within our gift to lose 8 wickets for <30 runs.

You werent far out. That was a wretched collapse. Normal service was resumed after a decent 3rd day.

I was up at 4.30am due to a terrible cough and I still had the ‘joy’ of waking up to an ashes batting collapse.

Round 2 in Adelaide -
Oz lose Hazlewood & Cummins, Eng bring in Anderson & Broad.
to complete a useful albeit 1-dimensional attack, Need a few quick wickets to steal the advantage now.

not going so well. Picked a side to bowl under lights, which aren't on yet :). Anderson economical and unlucky, and...um..

Yeah the attack is really missing one of the three really quick bowlers, but only one is on tour and being managed, and a quality spinner that England just don't have.

I am not getting off the Liam Livingstone for the test team in the future bandwagon, especially if his bowling continues to improve.

He's a huge talent- if you are investing so much in the likes of Buttler, then agreed he's worth a dart....but not sure who you'd drop, unless can find a convincing 3.

If the batting doesn't improve you could almost drop any of them.

It is unlikely Livingstone would fit into the line up but he'd be fun to watch.

True. And Buttler has dropped Labuscagne twice...unforgiveable. Poor Jimmy especially.

From an aesthetic point of view I am disappointed Oz were 1 short of 222-2 going into D2, but you can't say Eng's cunning pink-nightie plan has delivered much thus far.

Woakes can be a choccy teapot on dry tracks like this - not new that.Burns gets eaten for breakfast by Starc again - one down.
He will have fond memories of this tour. :(

wonder why woakes was picked ahead of wood on this track tbh- his record abroad isn't good.

Losing 4 for under 20 runs since lunch in these conditions is not good; 100 or so to avoid the follow on unlikely unless Sto-akes get a rush of blood..
5 of the top 7 failed to get double figures. :|

On a good wicket with Oz missing their best 2 bowlers.

This England side has all the resilience of a wet cardboard box.

a few look like they don't want to be there. Buttler has had an utter stinker, and maybe its time to move on from him in red ball cricket.

Poor tactics and selection, lacking quality batsmen and drifting with our bowling. Fielding and attitude....no excuse.

Woakes gone- 203-7 . Unlikely to make many more with our tail, though Robinson will at least fight.

...or not. The pitch is a bit of a bunsen now, to add to the issues. Innings defeat I'd say.....

Wonder if JR can still see his team getting on top.
