Marvellous game. Probably lots of moaning about the ref (though he was left with little choice) but that first 40 was brutal up front.
Credit to Ireland for staying in the fight.

Re: World Rankings Update
France may have beaten a disappointing Aussie side last night 48-33 at the Stade de France (where there were quite a few empty seats) but their defence has become as porous as a rusty old sieve during the November Tests and it leaked five tries last night.

I thought Carley and his team did really well considering the game they were trying to officiate. Insane physicality and both teams cheating like bastards.

Carley's a damn good ref. That was an immensely challenging game to ref and he came through very well. Contrast with the mediocre Brusset today at Twickenham.

They are used for the World Cup draw though.Captainhaircut wrote: ↑Mon Nov 17, 2025 9:51 pm Am I the only one really annoyed that Ford missed that final conversion? By my count if he’d kicked it, we’d go second with a win against NZ.
I know the rankings are pretty irrelevant (France and New Zealand impacted by France taking a second team there this summer for instance) but feels like it would be good to see us in second and chasing the Boks down.
