Re: Champions Cup Groups
They are all pretty nasty, I think Scarlets will be the happier of the two Welsh teams. Poor old Ospreys.

Re: Champions Cup Groups
Pool 2 is ridiculous
Clermont just won the top14 playoffs and came runners up in the ERCC
Sarries have won the last 2 ERCC and came third in their league
O's Came fourth in their league
Northampton came 7th and won the qualification playoff

I think the Scarlets are in with a decent shout. To be fair, if they can continue their good form from the Pro 12 finals into next season, they shouldn't fear anyone.

Clutching at a few straws Ospreys-wise, this group might be a blessing in disguise - albeit a pretty convincing disguise!
There will be no pressure on Os in this group. They'll be widely expected to place third at best. If they give it a lash, a couple of swashbuckling home wins might boost morale enough to help in the Pro12, where they should actually be expecting to compete.

I guess it's the price you pay for finishing 4th.... but it's obviously pretty unfair when compared with what 5th place Ulster have to face in pool 1.Ross. S wrote:Pool 2 is ridiculous

Still, for the Ospreys it wouldn't be Europe without being the group of death. Plus ça change and all that.
